Chocolate Chip Cake

2/3 cup margarine
1 1/3 cup sour cream (fat free works too)
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Topping
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
6oz. (1 cup) semi sweet chocolate chips
Grease 9x13 pan.
Cream butter, add sugar, sour cream, eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture-mix well. Put 1/2 of batter in prepared pan. Sprinkle with half of batter in prepared pan. Sprinkle with half of the topping mixture. Add rest of batter and rest of topping.
Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes
My mom is the best cook I know...
My mom loves to cook. It's what she does best. She loves searching for new recipes just to see what it tastes like {and to find the very best}. Growing up--mom was contantly baking cookies, canning food from our garden, baking bread and homemade salsa, and filling our home with sweet aromas {that I loved}. And now that I'm all grown up and out of the house, I still enjoy going home to see what she's made for us to eat! The purpose of this blog, is to record our family's favorite recipes...and to preserve them for our posterity. I want them to know that cooking is important to us.
